SCA Health is seeking an Insurance Verifier for an on‑site role in Florida to verify patient coverage and prepare accurate estimates prior to service. You will coordinate with physicians and offices to obtain necessary information and ensure correct payer selection for primary coverage.

Responsibilities include obtaining authorizations, coding with CPT, and communicating estimates to patients. A healthcare background and the ability to work in a high‑volume setting are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Experience checking authorizations.
• Must be experienced with CPT codes.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a high production environment.
• Healthcare experience a must.
• Local or within driving distance.

Aufgaben

• Verify that sufficient information is available for accurate verification and eligibility.
• Determine if secondary insurance should be added to the patient account ensuring the appropriate payer is selected for Primary insurance.
• Utilize centers' vendor for claims/eligibility and/or payer websites to obtain eligibility, benefits, pre‑certs and authorization information.
• Enter patient insurance information into the patient accounting system with correct payer and financial class.
• Notify manager immediately if patient insurance is Out of Network and follow policies for out‑of‑network payers.
• Document findings and contact the patient with estimated amounts due prior to service as applicable.
• Call patients as part of CMS Conditions for Coverage before service to review ownership and rights.
• Obtain and enter authorizations; include CPT codes and effective dates.
• Ensure high-cost implants/supplies are included on the authorization.
• Check payer policies; inform patient if not payable and obtain signatures for non‑covered services.
