Job summary

PRO~PT Physical Therapy in Visalia, CA is seeking a Verification/Authorization Rep to handle insurance authorizations and verifications, and to liaise with managed care companies. You will contact patients before appointments if there are coverage issues and accurately enter insurance information into the patient’s chart.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, reliable attendance, and a service‑oriented approach within a busy outpatient clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Minimum of one year of insurance verification experience.
• Post-high school courses in insurance billing or medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle authorization requests, research, follow up, and accurately document insurance information in the patient’s chart.
• Communicate with customers, employees, and vendors by phone with strong customer service.
• Maintain attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Submit timesheets daily.
• Maintain regular attendance per company policy.
• Assist in training staff and other duties as assigned.
