Job summary

Precision Rehabilitation & Orthopedic Physical Therapy is seeking an Insurance Authorization/Verification Clerk to manage authorizations, verify coverage, and liaise with managed care companies and patients to resolve issues prior to appointments.

Responsibilities include processing requests, researching discrepancies, and entering accurate insurance data into patient charts, while coordinating with staff to ensure timely scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Minimum of one (1) year of insurance verification experience.
• Post-high school courses in insurance billing, data processing, and medical terminology (or willing to learn) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process authorization requests, research and follow up, and document insurance data in the chart.
• Communicate via phone with customers, employees, and vendors with exemplary customer service.
• Maintain attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Complete timesheet daily.
• Maintain regular attendance per PRO-PT's policy.
• Assist in training staff and ordering supplies.
