Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. seeks a Patient Access/Insurance Verification role to ensure correct insurance details and authorization numbers for patients.

You will interact with physician offices, third party payers, and patients, delivering superior service and accurate information to support care access. Preferred candidates have experience in patient access, billing, and pre-certification requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
• One year of experience in reception, customer service, and/or record keeping

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all patients receiving services at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital have the correct insurance plan, policy number, and authorization number.
• Utilizes excellent customer service when working with physician offices, third party payers, and patients.
• Communicates financial and insurance information to Case Management, Utilization Management, and Financial Counseling staff members (when appropriate).
• Performs these functions in accordance with the facility's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
