Job summary

• Three years related healthcare pre-registration/referral experience required.
• Medical terminology and electronic medical record experience required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies insurance companies requiring prior authorization and obtains authorization for procedures and testing.
• Educates patient of their insurance policy and prepares submissions to insurance companies for authorization or appeals.
• Performs pre-registration tasks including demographic, financial, and insurance information verification.
• Contacts patients/payors to verify insurance and demographic information and resolve issues.
• Identifies patients with share of cost or co-payments and notifies patients of anticipated liability.
