Job summary

Alliance Health System is seeking an Insurance Verifications Specialist to review patient insurance and ensure coverage of required procedures. You will enter data accurately and update benefit information in our insurance system, verifying existing details.

The ideal candidate is precise, fast, and able to handle multiple verifications in a deadline-driven environment. Reports to the Director of Prior Authorizations and collaborates with the administrative team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment
• Understanding of benefits investigating, deductibles, co-insurances, out-of-pocket expense and benefit exclusions
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes
• Minimum of 1 year of insurance verification experience (NJ PIP/Auto verification a plus)

Responsibilities

• Execute insurance verifications for all patients
• Serve as a valued member of the administrative team with regard to gathering information based on individual coverage
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
• Maintain clear communication with patients as well as insurance companies
• Concisely, precisely and accurately document all information
