Job summary

Travelers in Georgia is offering a BI Underwriting Professional Development Internship Program for a 10-week period (June–August) designed to provide hands-on exposure to risk evaluation and pricing in commercial insurance. Interns receive on-the-job training, a designated coach, and opportunities to learn about underwriting processes within Travelers.

The program is rolling and intended as a pathway to the full-time UPDP, with housing assistance not provided, and a chance to engage with

Qualifications

• Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor's degree.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Complete core assignments and training modules geared toward insurance and underwriting principles.
• Participate and complete self-paced professional development courses in time management, presentation skills, and other key areas.
• Complete challenging and meaningful project work over the course of this program at the discretion of your manager.
• You may work independently or with other interns and will be asked to present your findings to local leadership.
• Learn to leverage modern analytical and AI tools/platforms with the ability to apply critical thinking to evaluate limitations related to quality and accuracy of AI-assisted outputs.
• Learn about other areas at Travelers such as Risk Control, Claims, and related corporate functions.
• Interns may also engage in agency visits with Account Executives.
• Participate in the Enterprise Internship experience which includes Executive Speaker Series, Networking events, and Rising Senior Intern Symposium.
