You will review applications, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with agents and clients to explain underwriting decisions. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of underwriting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, insurance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using underwriting software and data analysis tools.
• Certifications such as ARM or PACU are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate insurance applications to assess risk and determine policy terms and conditions.
• Conduct thorough underwriting research to gather and analyze data relevant to the risk being insured.
• Collaborate with insurance agents and clients to explain underwriting decisions and provide guidance.
