Industry leader seeks an experienced Underwriter to evaluate risk, select, and price submissions for the Specialty Program Excess Surplus Commercial Lines Program, specifically for Gas Stations and Auto Repair Shops & Garages.

REMOTE WORK FROM HOME POSSIBLE

The Job :

1. Underwrite individual risk selection for Gas Stations & Auto Repair businesses.
2. Serve as a resource to subordinate underwriting levels, other underwriting departments, and agents.
3. Communicate underwriting appetite and strategies to agents.
4. Develop new agency relationships and maintain existing core group of agents.
5. Assist management with form development and enhancement.

Required :

1. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. 2+ years of underwriting experience in Excess, Umbrella, Surplus Lines, or Commercial Insurance.
3. Professional designations such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Risk Management, or Associate in Commercial Underwriting are preferred.
