We're actively seeking talented Associate Underwriters to join our Workforce Benefits Underwriting Team. This role is 100% remote. You'll stay connected to Pacific Life from your home office.

As an Associate Group Underwriter, you'll evaluate and analyze risk for group insurance products, including life, health, dental, vision, and disability insurance. You will be part of a team of 16 in the Workforce Benefits Division, working alongside Underwriters, Senior Underwriters, and Underwriting Consultants.

How you'll help move us forward:

1. Evaluate and analyze risk for group insurance products, including life, health, dental, and disability insurance.
2. Review and interpret data related to demographics, claims history, and financial conditions to determine appropriate premiums and coverage.
3. Assist in developing and modifying underwriting policies and guidelines to ensure compliance and profitability.
4. Communicate with brokers, agents, and clients to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions.
5. Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support underwriting decisions and maintain accurate records.
6. Work closely with senior underwriters, actuaries, and other team members to ensure comprehensive risk evaluation and policy issuance.

The experience you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, insurance, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in underwriting or insurance, preferably in group benefits.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in relevant software tools.

The pay range for this position is:

$22.24 - $27.18
