Insurance Underwriter - Specialty Program (Excess & Surplus Commercial Lines)

Remote work from home possible.

Position Overview:

Global insurer seeks an Underwriter specializing in Trucking insurance.

Responsibilities:

1. Review and analyze underwriting documents to approve or reject applications.
2. Identify and minimize the impact of changes in exposure to risk.
3. Oversee compliance with recommended loss mitigation actions.
4. Evaluate and determine account premium levels.
5. Interpret contracts and policies to determine exposures.
6. Advise Claims department regarding coverage issues.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
2. 2+ years of underwriting experience in Commercial Auto Insurance.
3. Knowledge of the impact of large deductibles on coverage and pricing, and similar complex coverage features.
