Job summary

Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company is seeking an Insurance Specialist for the Underwriting team in the United States. The role analyzes applications, production and acreage reports and applies underwriting regulations for multi-peril, crop hail, and private product crop insurance, delivering excellent service to agents and partners.

• 1+ years of crop insurance underwriting experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Agricultural, or related field preferred; Associates degree required.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for underwriting needs on a national level for agency force.
• Process tasks for assigned agency codes in a timely and efficient manner.
• Meet deadlines related to Crop Insurance and internal procedures.
• Assist agencies as FMH growth strategies are executed.
• Complete Contract Reviews as assigned by Legal and Compliance.
• Monitor agent performance via thorough reviews of inspections and policies.
• Learns and uses all mapping functionalities; collaborate with Data Analyst team on complex errors.

FMH is seeking an Insurance Specialist to join the Underwriting team. This individual examines insurance documents such as applications, production reports, acreage reports, and applies underwriting regulations for multi-peril, crop hail, and private product crop insurance. Provides exceptional customer service to agents and business partners.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, you will need the following:

• Experience: One or more years of crop insurance underwriting experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Agricultural, or related field preferred; Associates Degree required
• Skills: Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES
