Role Description The Insurance Specialist is a full-time role responsible for supporting clients with their personal and commercial insurance needs. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing client coverage options, preparing quotes, and assisting with policy changes and renewals to ensure appropriate protection and competitive pricing. The role involves communicating with carriers and clients, answering questions, explaining policy details, and guiding clients through application and underwriting processes. The Insurance Specialist will also handle routine customer service requests, maintain accurate records in agency systems, and collaborate with team members to deliver timely, people-first service. This position requires consistent follow-up, attention to detail, and a commitment to helping clients make informed insurance decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Insurance products and Insurance Brokerage practices, including personal and commercial lines.
• Basic understanding of Finance concepts related to premiums, deductibles, and coverage limits.
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Customer Service skills focused on responsiveness, empathy, and problem-solving.
• Relevant insurance licenses (such as Property & Casualty; Life & Health a plus) or willingness to obtain them within a designated timeframe.
• Experience working in an insurance agency or financial services environment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client requests remotely.
• Comfort with using agency management software, online quoting tools, and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and uphold ethical standards in all client interactions.
