Insurance Specialist

Duration: 3+ Months

Work Arrangement: 100% Remote

Pay Rate: $20/Hour on W2

Required Industry Experience: Loan Servicing, Commercial Insurance, or Real Estate

This position requires an analytical mind capable of complex analyses and assessments related to Insurance and/or Real Estate. The candidate must be able to evaluate complex risks and communicate findings effectively. It is not a checklist role; it demands self-management across a variety of tasks that may vary daily.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent character traits, including job tenure, community involvement or volunteering, humility, receptiveness to feedback, and a positive attitude.

Under the supervision of the department manager, the person in this role is responsible for managing insurance matters related to mortgage servicing, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines, pooling and servicing agreements, legal requirements, and mortgage documents. Responsibilities include monitoring insurance compliance for commercial properties used as collateral, conducting insurance analysis, managing premium disbursements from escrow, assessing risks, reviewing appraisals, and communicating with servicers, investors, borrowers, insurance agents, and internal departments.
