Job summary

KKR seeks a Senior Analyst to support expense accounting across the Insurance Segment. This role involves hands-on work in close, financial reporting, and analysis within a multi-entity environment, partnering with Finance and Operations to drive accurate results.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, problem-solving mindset, and 3+ years' experience in accounting, with a preference for exposure to insurance and US GAAP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience within the insurance industry and/or public accounting; Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles; exposure to insurance statutory accounting preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Execute key expense accounting processes, including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, capitalized software, lease accounting and other expense related activities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and management reporting, including budget-to-actual and expense trend analysis.
  • Prepare relevant quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosures across US GAAP and statutory accounting bases.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting as appropriate and analyze financial results, trends and business drivers.
  • Maintain effective accounting procedures and SOX controls, support internal and external audits, and assist in resolving identified issues.
  • Partner across Finance and other key functions to resolve accounting and operational matters and support effective end-to-end processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, automate and improve accounting processes, while contributing to broader team initiatives.

TEAM OVERVIEW

KKR’s Insurance Segment Accounting Operations team is responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial results, maintaining a strong control environment, and operationalizing significant transactions from an accounting perspective. Our team works across locations and partners closely with Finance, Operations and Commercial teams across the organization. We foster a culture of excellence, accountability, grit and collaboration.

POSITION SUMMARY

KKR seeks a Senior Analyst to support expense accounting across the Insurance Segment. This individual will play a hands‑on role in core accounting processes, including close, financial reporting and analysis, within a complex, multi-entity environment. As part of the broader Accounting Operations team, the Senior Analyst will gain exposure to a wide range of accounting activities and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

BASE SALARY RANGE

Base Salary Range$70,000—$95,000 USD

EMPLOYMENT PROVISIONS / EQUITY
  • Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
