Job summary

A-MAX Insurance Services Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an Insurance Sales Agent for an in-office role. You will assist customers with various insurance needs, quote policies, process payments, renewals, and support underwriting as needed.

We offer hourly pay plus uncapped commission, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, a 401(k) with company match, and licensing assistance. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer Service/Insurance Sales experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Hold a valid and current Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license in Texas (highly preferred, but not required).
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain active license status with TDI.
• Commitment to educating customers about insurance choices and growing your career.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with various types of insurance needs such as new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess overall condition to decide if it is an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek out new clients, generate lists of prospective clients, and develop clientele by networking and marketing.
• Perform administrative tasks and handle policy renewals; coordinate with underwriting.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines in the office.
