Job summary

A-MAX Insurance in Texas is seeking an Insurance Sales Agent for an in-office role. You will assist customers with new policies, policy edits, renewals, and payments, while developing a local client base through daily networking and marketing.

We offer hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly, plus Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary benefits, plus a 401(k) with company match. Paid time off and holidays are provided, along with training and licensing assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service/insurance sales experience preferred.
• Bilingual ability is a plus but not required.
• TX license in Property & Casualty preferred, not required.
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer skills and strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and learn company software.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with new policies, edits, renewals, and payments.
• Inspect vehicles and assess insurability based on conditions.
• Develop clientele through networking and local marketing.
• Handle policy renewals and coordinate with underwriting.
• Support daily office duties and general housekeeping.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong sales mentality, desire to succeed, and good organizational/interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus. This is an IN-OFFICE position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with various types of insurance needs such as new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering all questions.
• Inspect vehicles, examining general condition, age, and other characteristics, to decide if it is an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek out new clients, generate lists of prospective clients, and develop clientele by networking and marketing. You and your office manager will develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, as well as handling policy renewals and contacting underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines

Position Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Customer Service/Insurance Sales Experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Hold a valid and current Limited Lines or Property & Casualty License in Texas (highly preferred, but not required)
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing
• Basic Computer knowledge and possess strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal/no supervision and quickly learn any Company/Proprietary software.
• Complete continuing education courses (Paid for by A-MAX) as required to maintain active license status with TDI.
