Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Insurance Risk Associate to support the Risk and Insurance Management Department (RIMD) with global responsibilities in managing professional liability, D&O/E&O, ERISA, surety, and other policies. The role focuses on renewal management, data gathering, policy documentation, and collaboration with senior management across units.

You will prepare renewals, maintain RMIS data, and participate in due diligence and contract reviews to strengthen the firm’s risk management

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of Risk and Insurance Management (RIM) and/or insurance industry experience.
• Four-year college degree (business preferred e.g. business accounting, finance, risk management, etc.)
• Strong knowledge and application of software and appropriate technology, e.g., Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Associate of Risk Management (ARM) or willingness to obtain
• Strong oral and written communication
• Strong organizational skills
• Proactive, look to change or improve processes

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead renewal of various insurance policies including D&O/E&O, ERISA, and International Fund programs.
• Coordinate and manage renewal applications and gather exposure data; review for consistency and resolve inconsistencies with managers.
• Create and present PowerPoint presentations to Business Units, Fund Board and Senior Management as required.
• Maintain claims database and assist in claims administration and settlement for the policies.
• Manage the policy renewal calendar and set up strategy meetings as necessary.
• Assist in due diligence processes (mergers & acquisitions).
• Audit policies to ensure documents reflect binders, program schematics, summaries and policies as per renewal.
• Maintain policy documentation and insurance allocation procedures.
• Review contracts for adherence to required insurance policies and issue COIs.
• Input and maintain data in RMIS and track claims information.
