AAA Auto Club Enterprises in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Sales/Retention specialist to improve insurance retention results. The role focuses on mediating cancellations, retaining members, and providing cross-sell opportunities across Auto and Home insurance products.

You will work with various departments to resolve issues, handle inbound inquiries, and leverage knowledge of policies to protect relationships with members. 1-3 years of insurance sales experience and a CA P&C license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 1-3 years insurance sales preferred.
• Professional communication skills required, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
• Property and Casualty Insurance License, valid in selling state - Issued by State Required.

Job description

This position is responsible for improving insurance retention results. Performs insurance sales or underwriting processing functions with an emphasis on maintaining our insurance business relationship with our members. Mediates insured’s cancellation requests/inquiries via telephone and/or internet throughout the ACE markets.

Works closely with other departments Branch Offices, Underwriting or external sources. The position is responsible for two or more of the following areas: membership, retention, and insurance.

Duties include:

• Mediate insured’s cancellation requests/inquiries via telephone and/or internet throughout the ACE markets. Identify, recommend and offer solutions to avoid insurance policy cancellation. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete using the accepted underwriting criteria, procedures and quality standards. Responsible for the achievement of business goals on saved policies and saved policy ratio (opportunities vs. number of polices saved).
• Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of insurance products, features, and benefits. Keep current on policies.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities based on members’ product needs and service requests. Enhance member relationship by diversifying use of products and services. Provide sales leads to insurance, travel and other departments as appropriate.
• Work closely with internal departments or external sources on matters that may need to be escalated or require additional follow-up to resolve issues.
• Handle inbound Auto and Home insurance calls related to member change requests, billing inquiries, policy reviews, and any other insurance related inquiries.
• Work focuses on the ability to retain insurance business. During the retention interaction, obstacles and conflicts can arise that require the ability to multi-task and quickly provide solutions to various issues. Occasionally matters need to be referred to the manager for resolution.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelors Equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred
• 1-3 years Insurance sales Preferred
• Professional communication skills required, both written and oral
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and assignments required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel required
• Property and Casualty Insurance License, valid in selling state - Issued by State Required

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences. (5% proficiency)

Our Sales Agents start at an hourly rate of $20.23. After completion of the training program, our full-time Sales Agents successfully meeting sales goals earn on average between $65,000 - $79,400 annually.
