Endeavor Health in Skokie, IL is seeking an Insurance Representative I to handle initial collection activities on hospital account balances. This full-time hybrid role offers weekday hours 8am-4:30pm with competitive hourly pay.

You will verify payments, review patient data, and gather documentation for submission to insurers, while using Epic and other systems. Strong math, CPT knowledge, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate with 2 years post-high school or degree preferred.
• Experience: Initial collection on claims for all payers (government and managed care).
• Skills: Proficient with Epic, CPTs, math, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Initial collection activities related to the insurance balance on hospital accounts.
• Ensure correct payment received based on expected reimbursement.
• Review and analyze demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data to expedite payment.
• Perform pre-certification notification and gather required documentation for submission to carriers.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Insurance Representative I
• Location: Skokie, IL
• Full Time, hybrid
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

What you will do

• Initial collection activities related to the insurance balance on hospital accounts.
• Ensure correct payment received based on expected reimbursement
• Reviews and analyzes all required demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data procured by patient intake and registration areas necessary to expedite payment on patient's accounts
• Performs pre-certification notification via telephone or electronically and gathers and completes all required documentation for submission to insurance carriers per payer requirements.

What you will need

• Education: High School Graduate, required 2yrs post high school or degree preferred
• Experience: Initial collection on claims for all payers (government and Managed care payers
• Skills: Computer keyboarding, Epic, math skill, understanding of Cpts, UB preferred, effective communicator and analytical
