Job summary

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation seeks an Insurance Analyst III in Tallahassee. This on-site role conducts research and investigations to ensure compliance with the Florida Insurance Code and supports regulatory actions.

Strong data analysis and communication skills are required. Minimum qualifications include knowledge of insurance principles, investigative techniques, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic principles of insurance and risk management.
• Knowledge of research, investigative, and problem-solving techniques and practices.
• Skilled in use of Microsoft Office programs with proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct research analysis and investigations of insurance industry business practices to determine compliance with Florida Insurance Code and provide recommended regulatory solutions.
• Develop and maintain databases of information collected; provide technical assistance and recommend actions to management.
• Independently conduct complex investigations, draft reports and consent orders, and maintain investigation materials.
