Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Insurance Processing Associate to support the Blood and Marrow Transplant and CAR T Program. The role focuses on scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, and documentation for a team of case managers.

Training will be provided, with onsite start and potential remote work one day per week after training, located in Nebraska or Iowa. Ideal candidates are organized, dependable, and detail-oriented, with experience in Epic or One Chart beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Two years post-secondary education with relevant coursework OR equivalent experience in accounts receivable, healthcare billing, or customer service.
• Multitasking and problem solving abilities required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Typing minimum 30 wpm with 90% accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Schedule coordination for patients and ambulatory clinics.
• Complete pre-registration and pre-admission processes.
• Insurance verification, eligibility checks, and benefit verification.
• Obtain records and document patient communications.
• Support administrative processes throughout the transplant journey.
