Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Insurance Processing Associate to support the Blood and Marrow Transplant and CAR T Program. The role focuses on scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, and documentation for a team of case managers.
Training will be provided, with onsite start and potential remote work one day per week after training, located in Nebraska or Iowa. Ideal candidates are organized, dependable, and detail-oriented, with experience in Epic or One Chart beneficial.
Shift: First Shift (United States of America)
Join a small, supportive team within the Blood and Marrow Transplant and CAR T Program at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. This role provides essential scheduling, administrative, and coordination support for a team of 13 case managers who help patients navigate complex care. The position is primarily focused on coordinating patient appointments, maintaining accurate schedules and patient information in One Chart, completing pre-registration and referral activities, obtaining records, documenting patient communications, and supporting the administrative processes involved throughout a patient’s transplant journey.
Each day may look different, so the ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Previous Epic or One Chart experience is highly beneficial, but training will be provided. The team is looking for someone who values collaboration, enjoys supporting others, and is interested in becoming a long-term member of the department.
Shift Details: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Eight-hour shifts. Initial training will be completed onsite and may take approximately three to six months. Once fully trained, the position may be eligible to work remotely one day per week, though you must be located in either Nebraska or Iowa.
Provide customer service through efficient processing of required information throughout the process of scheduling, pre-registration/pre-admission, and insurance verification in a timely, organized, courteous and professional manner. Verify eligibility and benefits related to insurance coverage including co-pay requirements, deductibles, out of pocket, life time maximums, and obtain authorization and referral requirements on defined organizational accounts.
