Job summary

TP is seeking a State Insurance Exam Prep Facilitator to deliver engaging exam preparation sessions to candidates, both in-person and online. You will assess candidates, tailor study plans, monitor progress, and provide guidance to help them excel in state insurance exams.

Responsibilities include daily coaching, reviewing practice exams, and staying up-to-date with exam formats. A Bachelor's in Education or related field is preferred, with at least 1 year of training experience in Insurance

Job description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable State Insurance Exam Prep Facilitator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective exam preparation sessions to candidates. You will work closely with candidates to identify their strengths and weaknesses, monitor study plans, and provide guidance and support to help them excel in their state insurance exams.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct state insurance exam preparation sessions for candidates, both in-person and online.
• Assess candidates' current knowledge and skills to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement study plans tailored to each candidate's needs and feedback from the exam prep vendor’s analytics profile and recommendations.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of complex insurance concepts and exam strategies.
• Monitor candidates' progress as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Review practice exams to evaluate candidates' readiness.
• Offer guidance and support to candidates, addressing their questions and concerns.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in state insurance exam formats and content to provide accurate and relevant information.
• Collaborate with other facilitators and educators to share best practices and resources.

Daily Expectations:

Class Facilitation & Management:

• Facilitate welcome sessions, set expectations, and lead daily morning huddles.
• Reinforce class expectations daily, working closely with Exam Prep Admins.
• Conduct daily walking management to ensure engagement and adherence to standards.

Coaching & Support:

• Schedule and conduct 1:1 coaching session to discuss exam prep coursework (minimum 2 per day).
• Provide corrective counseling as needed.
• Review/Respond to any email and correspondence received by PL Agents prior to EOD each day of PL Training Class.

Position Requirement:

• Must have at least 1-year training experience in Insurance Licensing
• Training hours are 9:00 AM–5:30 PM EST or 10:00 AM–6:30 PM EST. When not in class: 8AM–5PM in local time zone.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, a related field, or equivalent experience, preferred.
• Proven experience in state insurance exam preparation and tutoring, with a strong track record of candidate success.
• Successfully completed exam materials and passed the resident state exam for the lines of authority that will be facilitated.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with state insurance exam formats and content.
• Strong understanding of computer basics (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook Email and Internet).
• Strong problem-solving skills, research skills and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in online teaching tools, exam vendors and testing platforms (e.g., Teams, Google Meet, WebCE, ADBanker, Prometric, PearsonVue, PSI, etc.).
• Passion for education and a commitment to helping candidates achieve their goals.
