Job summary

J RAM IT Consulting in New York City is seeking a Hybrid Functional Tester with Insurance background focused on Policies & Annuities. The role will validate policy administration systems, including issuance, renewals, endorsements and cancellations, within a regulated insurance environment.

You will design and execute test cases from functional specifications, perform functional, integration, regression and UAT testing, log defects in Jira or HP ALM, and collaborate with business analysts,

Qualifications

Ability to design and execute test cases from functional specs.
Strong understanding of insurance policies and annuities.

Responsibilities

Perform functional testing of insurance policy administration systems (issuance, renewals, endorsements, cancellations).
Test annuity transactions (premium payments, withdrawals, surrenders, benefit calculations).
Validate business rules, policy data, premiums and annuity payouts against requirements.
Prepare and execute test cases from specifications.
Perform functional, integration, regression and UAT testing.
Validate customer information, beneficiary details and data flows between systems.
Log, track and retest defects using Jira or HP ALM.
Collaborate with analysts, developers and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure quality.
