Job summary

Winter-Dent & Company is seeking a Marketing/Placement Coordinator to oversee new business and renewal marketing for mid-size, moderately complex P&C accounts. You will collaborate with Producers, Account Managers, and Account Executives to gather underwriting information, market to carriers, review quotes, and support the delivery of competitive proposals.

• You have 2+ years of insurance industry experience.
• P&C license acquired upon hire or within 90 days of employment.
• Experience in client-facing insurance roles (Account Manager, CSR, etc.) and managing accounts through renewal or binding.
• Ability to communicate effectively, build meaningful connections, and calmly de-escalate frustrated clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage carrier follow-up to ensure timely responses and quote turnaround.
• Review quotes for accuracy, coverage, and competitiveness.
• Work with Producers to determine recommended quote options for presentation.
• Provide finalized quotes to Account Managers for secondary review and presentation.

The Marketing/Placement Coordinator is responsible for marketing and placement activities for mid-size, moderately complex commercial P&C accounts. This role partners with Producers, Account Executives, and Account Managers to gather underwriting information, market accounts to carriers, review quotes, and support the delivery of competitive and complete insurance proposals.

THE ROLE

• Manage new business and renewal marketing for mid-size, moderately complex accounts.
• Pre-qualify risks and determine appropriate carrier markets, in partnership with the Sr. Marketing Coordinator.
• Partner with Producers and Account Managers to gather information for applications and underwriting information.
• Prepare and submit applications and supporting documentation (and/or online rating submissions) to carriers.
• Ensure all prope r documentation and steps are taken in the agency's CRM (client management system), Applied EPIC.
• Manage carrier follow-up to ensure timely responses and quote turnaround.
• Review quotes for accuracy, coverage, and competitiveness.
• Work with Producers to determine recommended quote options for presentation.
• Provide finalized quotes to Account Managers for secondary review and presentation preparation.
• Maintain organized marketing documentation and carrier correspondence.
• Build and maintain professional carrier relationships.
• Stay informed on carrier appetites, market trends, and coverage changes.
• Ensure compliance with agency standards and carrier requirements.
• Act as an agency ambassador by identifying opportunities to refer clients or prospects to other departments and services outside of your direct role.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• You have your Property & Casualty (P&C) license acquired upon hire or to be obtained within 90 days of employment
• You have 2+ years of insurance industry experience, required
• You have worked in client facing insurance roles (Account Manager, CSR, etc.) and are familiar with the process of managing an account through renewal or initial binding, required
• You have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, build meaningful connections, and calmly de-escalate situations of frustration
