Job summary

Foley & Lardner LLP seeks an associate with 2–6 years of experience to join the Insurance Practice Group across offices in Chicago, Milwaukee, New York, or Tallahassee. The role involves transactions for insurers, regulatory matters, and cross-office collaboration with partners and clients.

Qualified candidates will have strong writing, analytical, drafting, and communication skills, a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, and active Bar admission.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school and active bar admission in jurisdiction of practice.
• Experience with corporate transactions involving insurance businesses and regulatory matters.
• Exposure to mergers, restructurings, reinsurance, and related insurance transactions.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate transaction documents for insurers and related entities.
• Analyze insurance regulatory requirements and ensure compliance across matters.
• Coordinate multijurisdictional workstreams and client matters.
• Interact directly with partners and clients, increasing responsibility over time.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and manage multiple matters collaboratively.
