Job description

Keep our operations running smoothly across 28+ states by mastering process, detail, and tech.

$100M+ funded. Global footprint. AI-powered. Human-driven.

INSHUR is the embedded insurance powerhouse for the on-demand world. We partner with giants like Uber and Amazon to provide fair, data-backed coverage for the modern workforce. We’re 200 people strong across the UK, US, and Netherlands, using AI as a multiplier to stay ahead of the curve. Want to work where tech actually meets the road? You’re in the right place.

Find out more about our history, values, hiring process and more here.

The role

As our Insurance Licensing Coordinator, you will own the end-to-end administration of our insurance licensing pipeline across all corporate entities and individual Claim Specialists and Producers. You’ll make sure our claims adjusters and producers are fully licensed, up to date on continuing education, and ready to operate without regulatory friction.

This role reports directly to one of our Claims Team Leaders with close operational ties to several other departments and teams. You’ll be the central operational engine that keeps ~1,000 state filings, entity permissions, and individual credentials organized, updated, and optimized.

We have a hybrid working model. You’ll work remotely, with at least 1 day a month in our Dallas office.

What you'll do
  • Own the Licensing Engine: Coordinate routine applications, renewals, and reciprocal state filings for corporate entities, agencies, claims adjusters, and producers.

  • Master the Dashboard: Maintain our custom licensing dashboard, ensuring 100% accuracy on filing statuses, renewal deadlines, and deficiency tracking.

  • Drive Proactive Chasing: Reach out internally to gather key documentation from adjusters and team members well before deadlines approach.

  • Interface with State Departments of Insurance: Submit standard forms, track progress through state Departments of Insurance, and resolve basic administrative inquiries.

  • Spot ROI & Efficiency Opportunities: Work with team leads to identify unnecessary state licenses, saving costs while keeping coverage tight.

What we're looking for

We care more about how you think than what's on your CV. If you meet most of the essentials and are excited about the problem, apply.

Essential

  • Rock-Solid Organizational Skills: Proven track record of managing high-volume administrative pipelines or regulatory schedules with zero missed details.

  • Proactive Communication: Comfortable chasing down missing information before it becomes an urgent issue.

  • Resourceful Problem-Solving: Comfortable reading complex forms, deciphering detailed instructions, and asking smart questions when stuck.

  • Tech-Savvy & Adaptable: Proficient in Excel/spreadsheets and enthusiastic about using modern AI tools (Claude, Gemini) to automate routine work.

Nice to have

  • Insurance Licensing Experience: Prior exposure to state DOI filings, NIPR/PDB systems, or adjuster/producer licensing rules.

  • Legal or Regulatory Admin Background: Experience supporting legal, compliance, corporate finance, or paralegal administrative tasks.

How the Compliance and Claims teams use AI

Whether you're new to AI or already building with it, we give everyone the tools, time, and support to grow. AI is a multiplier here to automate the heavy lifting of administration, ensuring our workflows are fast, accurate, and free from repetitive manual tasks.

We also use AI tools to support our hiring process—not to make decisions, but to help us run a fairer, faster process. You can read more about how we approach that here, including tips for how you can use AI to prepare.

What to expect from the process
  • Screen: A 30-minute audio call with the Talent team covering your background, core admin capabilities, and role alignment.

  • First interview: A 45-60 minute structured call with our Claims Team Leader and Operations Lead focusing on organization, proactive problem-solving, and scenario-based tasks.

  • Final stage: A 45-60 minute conversation with Claims Manager & People Partner to discuss ways of working, collaboration, and values.

We design this to be a two-way conversation. Come with questions—we want you to leave knowing whether this is the right move for you.

What we offer

We've built a benefits package that invests in our people’s long-term personal and professional growth and wellbeing:

  • Competitive salary paying between $50,000 and $60,000, depending on experience, plus stock options for every employee

  • 25 days of holiday (+5 days after 5 years), 5 sick days, and 8 federal holidays.

  • Medical, dental, and vision health insurance plans.

  • Life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability benefits.

  • 13 weeks fully paid parental leave for all new parents, regardless of gender.

  • 401(k) with 4% company match.

  • Flexible working hours to fit your lifestyle.

  • $650 annual training allowance & learning opportunities.

  • $50 monthly wellbeing allowance.

  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Program and mental health benefits.

  • Unlimited AI usage with Claude and Gemini.

Working here

You'll do well here if you: Move through administrative tasks with steady, meticulous focus.

Take full ownership of deadlines without needing to be micromanaged.

Embrace tech and AI tools to eliminate repetitive manual work.

Speak up early when you spot a bottleneck or missing detail.

Stay highly organized when handling multiple moving parts across different states.

This probably isn't the right fit if you:

Need step-by-step handholding for every unique state form or edge case.

Dislike following up or chasing colleagues for missing information.

Prefer slow, traditional paper-and-binder administrative systems.

Inclusion and flexibility

INSHUR is committed to building a team where everyone can bring their full self to work. We follow a structured hiring process and train our interview teams to support fairness and reduce bias.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age.

This role is advertised as full‑time. If you need any adjustments during the process, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
