Job summary

Tokio Marine Highland is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join the Finance team in the Chicago area. The role combines financial analysis, business partnership, and technology-driven innovation to help leaders make informed business decisions.

You will own reporting, forecasting, performance analytics, and process improvement initiatives, partnering with leaders and the London FP&A team to drive business performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or related field.
• Insurance industry experience required (property & casualty, health, etc.).
• Experience analyzing revenue, premium, loss ratio, profitability, and KPIs.
• Strong communication and ability to present insights to leadership.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large data sets.
• Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance financial dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
• Analyze financial and operational data; identify trends and drivers; communicate insights to leadership.
• Build and maintain management dashboards; create reports from scratch.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis.
• Partner with business leaders to understand reporting needs and provide actionable recommendations.
• Leverage technology and AI to improve reporting efficiency and insights.
• Collaborate with Finance and business partners on planning and performance management initiatives.
