International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Insurance Portfolio Manager to lead and support multisector fixed income portfolio construction and management for life and P&C clients.

The role focuses on translating client objectives, balance sheet constraints, and regulatory considerations into actionable portfolio decisions, with increasing responsibility for client support and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline required.
Approximately 4–7 years of relevant experience in fixed income portfolio management, analytics, or related investment roles.

Responsibilities

Support design and ongoing management of multisector fixed income portfolios for life and P&C insurance clients.
Translate investment guidelines, ALM targets, and regulatory constraints into portfolio construction inputs.
Execute portfolio rebalancing, cash deployment, turnover management, and trade execution.
Perform relative value analysis across public and private fixed income asset classes.
Apply insurance regulatory and accounting frameworks to portfolio analysis and reporting.
Monitor portfolios for guideline compliance and risk reporting; elevate issues as needed.
Support client servicing, investment reviews, and responses to inquiries.
Coordinate investment activity across asset sector teams and with risk, operations, and data teams.
