Job summary

Mayfield Clinic is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to join the Revenue Cycle Management team. You will verify eligibility and benefits, estimate costs, register new patients, and perform follow-up on patient accounts.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in healthcare administration, a high school diploma, and experience with insurance and billing processes. CRCR certification is preferred, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in healthcare administration/revenue cycle.
• CRCR Certification preferred.
• Experience with insurance eligibility and/or claims processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits; prepare cost estimates; register new patients; and perform follow-up tasks in the Revenue Cycle process.
• Research unpaid balances and pursue payment with patients and clinical staff to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of patient payments and maintain documentation in the practice management system.
