Insurance Defense Trial Attorney - Inland Empire

Job Summary: Responsible for the competent, ethical, and diligent representation of clients in all cases assigned by supervisor. Cases involve various tort practices, handling matters of moderate to great complexity, and may include assisting other attorneys.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Handle cases with unique legal or procedural issues involving moderate to severe injuries and damages, including pleadings, motions, discovery, hearings, conferences, interviews, trials, or arbitrations.
2. Assist other attorneys as assigned and supervise attorneys involved in specific cases.
3. Consult with Claims Departments regarding insurance policies and legal aspects of personal injury claims.
4. Maintain communication with supervisors and update computerized litigation support systems.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Includes some physical activities such as carrying up to 25 pounds, hearing, seeing, standing, and walking. Work is performed mainly in a climate-controlled office environment with some travel.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree required; law degree and active membership in the State Bar of the applicable state.
• At least three years of civil jury trial experience or equivalent, capable of handling cases of moderate to great exposure with minimal supervision.

Skills and Additional Requirements:

• Public speaking, managing high caseloads, and driving as needed.
