Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its Insurance Defense practice in Wheaton, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of litigation experience in insurance defense and be licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Dual licensure in Illinois and Indiana is preferred, with a strong emphasis on independent work and teamwork. Excellent written and verbal communication are essential for client interactions and courtroom proceedings.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required and Illinois license is essential (Indiana license preferred).
• Two to five years of litigation experience in insurance defense is expected.
• Proficiency with Lexis and MS Office; strong legal research and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, orders, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery and conduct legal research.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Review client documents and draft case evaluations.
• Prepare status report correspondence.
• Assist with mediations, pretrial settlement conferences, and court appearances.
• Interact with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, and colleagues.
• Manage a substantive case load with minimal supervision.
