Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced insurance defense associate for the Nashville office of a leading law firm. The ideal candidate will bring 4+ years of defense litigation experience representing insurance companies and providing coverage opinions.

Required are a JD and Tennessee bar admission (or eligibility to become licensed in TN). Applicants with coverage experience and a strong track record in pretrial litigation will be favored.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with an insurance defense firm (tort defense and/or healthcare liability defense experience preferred).
• Coverage experience preferred but not required.
• Experience handling all phases of pretrial litigation, including discovery, research and writing, pleadings and motions, depositions and trial, mediations and settlement conferences.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurance companies in defense litigation across a range of claims.
• Provide coverage opinions as needed.
• Manage all phases of discovery and case development from pretrial through settlement.

• 4+ years of experience with an insurance defense firm (tort defense and/or healthcare liability defense experience preferred).
• Coverage experience preferred but not required
• Experience handling all phases of pretrial litigation, including preparing and responding to discovery requests, legal research and writing, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing for depositions and trial, preparing for and attending mediations and settlement conferences.

Qualifications:

• JD with strong academic credentials
• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee, or ability to become licensed in TN
