The Standard Legal Recruiting represents a boutique Nashville law firm seeking a mid-senior Associate to join its growing litigation practice. This role focuses on insurance defense and medical malpractice within a collaborative team.

The attorney will handle pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and other aspects of litigation while developing a long-term practice in a supportive environment with mentoring and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in insurance defense, medical malpractice, or civil litigation.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive documents.
• Experience managing discovery and taking or defending depositions.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Licensed to practice in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Provide insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation services.
• Take ownership of cases and manage all stages of litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and related filings.
• Represent clients in depositions and court appearances.
• Collaborate in a close-knit, mentor‑driven team environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a long-term practice focused primarily on insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation in a close-knit, collaborative environment.

The practice represents insurance carriers, healthcare providers, physicians, and other institutional clients in complex litigation matters. The team handles a broad range of insurance defense and medical malpractice matters, providing associates with meaningful opportunities to take ownership of cases and gain hands‑on experience in all stages of litigation. The firm is seeking an attorney with strong litigation experience who is interested in developing a long-term practice in insurance defense and medical malpractice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance defense, medical malpractice, or general civil litigation experience
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive legal documents
• Experience managing discovery and taking or defending depositions
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• License to practice in Tennessee
