Taylor Root seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney in Chesterbrook, PA for a hybrid role. You will manage insurance defense and general liability matters from start to finish, draft filings, conduct depositions, and assist with trials in a collaborative firm.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of defense experience, strong legal writing, and excellent communication. Hybrid schedule: four days in office, one day remote, with supportive legal staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation/defense experience in insurance defense or general liability.
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice is required.
• Strong research, writing and analytical abilities are essential.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload with attention to deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; trial preparation a plus.

Insurance Defense Attorney - Chesterbrook, PA - HYBRID

A well-established defense litigation firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing Pennsylvania office. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-exposure litigation matters while receiving mentorship from experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense and general liability matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Attend court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case exposure
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
• Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
• Assist with trial preparation and trial proceedings
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on complex litigation matters

Requirements:

• 3+ years of litigation/defense experience
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Trial experience or trial preparation experience is a plus
• Compensation: Competitive Base salary based on years of experience
• Schedule: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
• Billable Requirement: 1,800 hours annually
• Bonus Structure: Semi-annual billable hour bonuses plus merit-based bonuses
