Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Nevada law license or eligibility to sit for Nevada Bar.
• Experience in insurance defense or civil litigation.
• Familiarity with depositions, written discovery, and motion practice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
• Proficiency with legal practice management software (Clio a plus).
• Collaborative mindset and team-oriented work style.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance defense matters, including personal injury, premises liability, automobile accidents, and general liability.
• Draft and respond to written discovery, motions, and pleadings.
• Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with insurance carrier clients and claims adjusters regarding case strategy and reserve recommendations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and status reports.
• Manage litigation deadlines and maintain accurate billing records in case management software.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on litigation strategy.
