Gauntt, Koen, Binney & Kidd, LLP in Dallas seeks an Associate Attorney with 2–8 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense and personal injury litigation, to join our Dallas office on our litigation team that primarily handles our commercial trucking defense docket.

The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, and litigation skills and be comfortable managing cases with appropriate supervision from assignment through resolution.

• Ability to manage multiple matters with supervision from assignment through resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense and personal injury matters.
• Conduct legal research and analyze factual and legal issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners, clients, and carriers.
• Evaluate claims, damages, liability, and potential exposure.
• Negotiate settlements and assist with case resolution.
• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties.
• Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and billing entries.
• Provide timely case evaluations and status reports as required.
