Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst in the Philadelphia area. This role partners with business stakeholders, Data Product Managers, and technical teams to turn requirements into trusted analytical solutions and data products.

You will manage data validation, metric development, BI solutions, and governance to support underwriting, claims, actuarial, and enterprise decision-making.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product management, data and analytics, business analysis, consulting, strategy, or a related field within the insurance industry.
• Experience in underwriting, actuarial, rate/product, portfolio, or underwriting operations processes.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into data solutions and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clarify complex business problems with stakeholders and define measurable data product outcomes.
• Translate insurance needs into implementation-ready requirements including data definitions and mappings.
• Profile data, validate logic, and investigate data quality issues using SQL.
• Own the Power BI development lifecycle for assigned domains from design to deployment.
• Lead analytics efforts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineering to define data models and semantic layers.
• Conduct data product quality reviews and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Document data definitions, dictionaries, and reporting standards to support governance.
