Berkshire Hathaway GUARD is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to partner with business stakeholders and data teams to deliver trusted analytics solutions. You will own requirements, profiling, and governance across operational, underwriting, claims, and actuarial domains.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in product management, data and analytics, business analysis, consulting, strategy, or a related field within the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting, actuarial, rate/product, portfolio, or underwriting operations processes.
• Experience translating business needs into data solutions that support underwriting decisions, pricing analysis, portfolio insight, or operational execution.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a data-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Data Product Managers and stakeholders to clarify problems and define data product success metrics.
• Translate business needs into implementation-ready requirements with data definitions and mappings.
• Profile data with SQL, validate logic, and provide actionable insights.
• Own the Power BI lifecycle from requirements to deployment and adoption.
• Lead analytics efforts to identify trends, root causes, and risks for decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineering to define models and semantic layers.
• Conduct data product quality reviews with stakeholders.
• Document definitions, dictionaries, and reporting standards.
• Support rollout and adoption of data products through stakeholder engagement.
• Provide guidance to analysts and promote best practices.
