Job summary

Orion Placement in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an attorney to join our growing insurance coverage and business litigation practice. This is an in-office role with mentorship, hands-on responsibility, and progressive training from experienced litigators.

Newly licensed attorneys and those with insurance coverage experience are welcome. You will handle diverse matters, draft pleadings, conduct research, and develop courtroom skills, with a clear path to increasing independence and impact.

Qualifications

• Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Genuine interest in litigation and willingness to learn.
• Collaborative, professional, detail-oriented approach.
• Prior litigation or insurance coverage experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with depositions, mediations, or court proceedings beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of business and insurance coverage litigation matters.
• Draft motions, briefs, legal opinions, and other written advocacy for courts and clients.
• Conduct legal research, case analysis, and evaluation of complex coverage issues.
• Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with experienced attorneys and contribute to case strategy.
• Develop knowledge of insurance coverage law through hands-on work and mentorship.
• Manage assignments with detail, sound judgment, and strong written communication.
• Gain exposure to all stages of litigation while building independence and responsibility.
• For experienced attorneys, contribute insurance coverage knowledge and make an immediate impact.

• Launch or accelerate your litigation career in a growing insurance coverage and business litigation practice.

Location
