National law firm in Miami seeks a highly motivated Insurance Coverage and Defense Litigation Associate to work independently on complex liability insurance disputes and coverage litigation. The associate will focus on complex insurance, reinsurance, and commercial disputes in federal and state court.

The role involves developing litigation strategy, conducting rigorous legal research, and advising on coverage issues for domestic and foreign insurers.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy for insurance liability disputes, insurance coverage litigation business, and complex arbitration
• Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis and draft memoranda
• Analyze insurance policies, draft analyses of coverage issues, and provide coverage advice and recommendations for clients
• Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend court hearings and mediations
• Document review
• Work on all aspects of pretrial to trial
