Job summary

A leading law firm is seeking an Associate, Senior Associate, or Senior Counsel Litigation Attorney to join its growing Insurance Coverage Practice Group in California. This role handles complex coverage matters for domestic and international insurers, with a hybrid schedule and strong mentorship.

Responsibilities include drafting opinions, conducting research, and participating in depositions, hearings, and trials, while collaborating with partners to advance case objectives.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Law Review and/or Honors required.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing (other bar admissions considered for seasoned candidates with extensive coverage experience).
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage matters.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies.
• Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience drafting litigation-related documents.
• Experience participating in litigation proceedings, including depositions and mediations.
• Familiarity with bad faith insurance claims, commercial general liability, commercial property, errors & omissions, and directors & officers.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Compensation and benefits

• Annual base salary range of $160,000-$275,000, determined by experience and market factors
