Sora Resource Group seeks an Insurance Coverage Attorney for its Litigation practice (CA). The role requires CA bar admission, 3+ years of insurance coverage litigation, and strong policy analysis skills.

Hybrid work from Irvine/LA/Frisco areas with exposure to domestic and international insurers. The associate will draft coverage opinions, give actionable recommendations, and collaborate with senior attorneys on high-profile matters within a nationally-recognized insurance coverage practice.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record
• California bar admission in good standing; other bars considered for seasoned candidates
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience focusing on insurance coverage matters
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and drafting coverage opinions
• Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations and assist in litigation strategy
• Experience in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Strong legal research/writing; excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a skilled Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Counsel Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage Practice Group. This growing practice handles complex, high-value coverage litigation and market conduct matters on behalf of both domestic and international insurers. The work includes commercial general liability, commercial property (including business interruption and environmental matters), errors and omissions claims involving attorneys, agents, and accountants, as well as directors' and officers' coverage.

Candidate Profile

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record
  • Law Review and/or Honorsrequired
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing (Will consider other bar admissions for seasoned candidates with extensive coverage experience)
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience, with a focus oninsurance coveragematters
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies
• Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations
• Demonstrated experience drafting litigation-related documents
• Experience participating in litigation proceedings, including depositions and mediations, among others
• Familiarity with some or all of the following: bad faith insurance claims, commercial general liability, commercial property, errors & omissions, and directors & officers
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary: Expected annual base salary range of $160,000–$275,000, as determined by experience and market factors
