Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced attorney to handle sophisticated first-party property coverage matters from pre-suit analysis through litigation. You will work directly with insurance companies, corporations, and insured clients in complex coverage disputes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly relevant insurance coverage experience.
• First-party property coverage experience including policy analysis and litigation preferred.
• Strong analytical and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex first-party property insurance policies and coverage issues.
• Prepare coverage opinions and advise clients regarding pre-suit coverage strategy.
• Manage first-party property coverage disputes from initial analysis through resolution.
• Conduct examinations under oath and depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Represent clients during mediations, hearings, and other dispute-resolution proceedings.
• Communicate directly with insurance clients regarding coverage, exposure, and litigation strategy.
• Manage multiple active matters while responding effectively to time-sensitive client needs.
