The New York office of Kaufman Dolowich LLP, a full-service national law firm with more than 250 attorneys, is actively seeking an attorney to join our Insurance Coverage and Litigation Practice. The role offers meaningful hands-on experience, direct client interaction, and strong mentorship while representing national, regional, and international insurers on complex coverage disputes.

• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, disclaimer letters, and other coverage-related correspondence.
• Litigate insurance coverage matters, including handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance and regular case updates.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex coverage and litigation matters.

The New York office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing Insurance Coverage and Litigation Practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced practitioners on sophisticated insurance coverage matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Our attorneys receive meaningful hands-on experience, direct client interaction, and strong mentorship while representing national, regional, and international insurance carriers in complex coverage disputes across a broad range of insurance lines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Analyze insurance policies and evaluate complex coverage issues
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, disclaimer letters, and other coverage-related correspondence
• Litigate insurance coverage matters, including handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trials

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills

Base Salary Range $130,000-$150,000

Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job-related qualifications.
