Job summary

Orionplacement seeks a skilled attorney for insurance coverage litigation in Chicago, IL. Successful candidates will hold a JD from an accredited law school and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include analyzing insurance policies, handling litigation phases, and delivering strategic legal guidance to clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience; experience representing insurers is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial general liability (CGL) insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Handle all phases of insurance coverage litigation from pleadings through trial preparation.
• Attend and participate in depositions, court appearances, and mediations.
• Draft and review legal documents to the highest standard.
• Conduct thorough legal research and create persuasive written work product.
• Collaborate closely with partners and associates on litigation projects.
• Communicate directly with clients, building trust and delivering strategic guidance.
• Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
• Negotiate settlements and assist in resolving complex coverage disputes.
