Job Title:
Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice group. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely within Florida, providing expert legal services in a collaborative, growth-driven environment. The role emphasizes significant legal writing, litigation, client advocacy, and strategic case management, with a strong support structure for career development and professional success.

Duties:

• Conduct detailed file reviews and provide legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Perform comprehensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate documents
• Maintain an annual billable target of 1950 hours
• Represent clients during court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Collaborate with and retain expert witnesses
• Prepare for and participate in trials
• Travel as required for the case needs

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage law preferred
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Florida (admission in additional states is a plus)
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent legal research and strong written and oral communication abilities
• Proven ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate effectively within a team
• Timely responsiveness to emails and phone communications
• Strong client service skills and professional demeanor

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited institution

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar (additional state admissions advantageous)
