Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or business administration required; CPA preferred.
• Eight years' financial supervisory/accounting experience, ideally in the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of business statistics, federal income taxation, data processing, financial techniques, and Property and Casualty insurance company operations preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn company computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting and financial control functions of the corporation according to GAAP.
• Oversee premium billing and collection policies and systems.
• Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls and supervise accounting staff.
• Manage corporate taxation and reinsurance accounting processes.
• Assist CFO in acquisitions and mergers planning/implementation.
• Participate in long-range planning and corporate reporting.
