Job summary

CopperPoint Insurance Companies is seeking a Compliance Specialist who will help develop and administer an effective regulatory compliance program that ensures adherence to state regulatory and statutory requirements.

You will research and resolve compliance issues, communicate with regulators, and support CopperPoint’s commitment to a strong culture of compliance while partnering with internal teams to identify risks and promote best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 1 year in corporate compliance or related area.
• Strong research skills to review insurance and legal resources.
• Ability to analyze complex compliance issues and recommend solutions.
• Excellent organizational and presentation abilities.
• Proven ability to work in teams and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Participates in administration and oversight of compliance programs for all jurisdictions and lines.
• Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs with control plans.
• Coordinate and maintain licenses and filings with state authorities.
• Track regulatory inquiries and responses for regulators.
• Research and communicate regulatory changes and track implementation.
• Review new products and forms for regulatory compliance and filings.
• Coordinate regulatory examinations and audits and responses to data requests.
• Manage regulatory/compliance software as needed.
• Support the Compliance Committee and special projects.
• Help develop, implement, and improve processes and procedures.
• Prepare reports and metrics for the compliance team.
